  1. From the Email Security lecture :
  2. Every email you get is a lie, until proven otherwise
  3. Do not use your email as your ID for an internet account in you can use something else
  4. If you do use your email as your ID for an internet account, remember rule #1 when you get an email related that account
  5. Never send a password by email
  6. Never send an ID - passport, drivers license, SSN card, etc by email. It is illegal to email your SSN in whole or in part
  7. Don't ever send unsolicited email - don't be that guy!
  8. No one can request personal info by email
  9. Do not pay attention to email supposedly from the government
  10. Don't send someone something the requested by email and don't click on a link in an email.

It should be based on what you want to be able to do at the end of the course.. So, give a test at the beginning - asking the student to do something, which she is obviously not able to do. Then, provide the answer - even though it doesn't make sense - and say where in the course the user will learn the critical concepts. Where is the desirable difficulty? Where is the spaced repetition? These should be familiar concepts to Coursera folks. What kinds of daily drills can you use to warm up and stay sharp - when you are taking a certain course?
