One software package they use runs about $80k for a license and about 20% of that for yearly maintenance. Unrelated, one big name software company whose stock has taken a beating paid way too much to acquire another software co. The conglomerate has way too much debt to equity.

Got to catch up with an acquaintance who moved on from a big EV company due to burnout. It was sad to see someone younger than me look at least a decade older.
